DLC for Sanitation Vehicles? Yiwei Motor’s Optional Package Now Officially Launched!

As new energy sanitation vehicles continue to evolve toward electrification, intelligence, multi-functionality, and scenario-based applications, Yiwei Motor is keeping pace with the times. In response to extreme weather conditions and the growing demand for refined urban management, Yiwei has launched a range of optional packages for its 18-ton models. These include an electric guardrail cleaning system, electric snow-removal roller, electric snow plow, a range extender system and so on.

Schematic Diagram of the Electric Guardrail Cleaning Device

This device is electrically driven, replacing the traditional high-power diesel engine system. Compared with the previous solution, it is more environmentally friendly and produces significantly less noise.

The mechanisms responsible for brush rotation, vertical lift, and side-to-side swing of the guardrail cleaning system are powered by a self-developed 5.5 kW hydraulic power unit. The water system is driven by a 24V low-voltage DC high-pressure water pump.

In terms of control, we have integrated the operation of the guardrail cleaning system with the vehicle’s upper body controls, all managed through a unified integrated display. This high level of integration simplifies the cab layout, with no additional control boxes or screens required.

On the integrated screen interface for the guardrail cleaning device, before starting, the operator confirms the required cleaning intensity, water pump activation, and brush rotation direction. Then, the central brush motor can be turned on. After activation, the device’s vertical and horizontal positions can be adjusted according to actual working conditions.

Electric Snow Removal Roller – Technical Schematic Overview

This snow removal roller device is powered by our independently developed 50 kW power unit, which drives the snow removal roller via a transfer case. It effectively addresses the issues of high noise and heavy emissions found in traditional equipment. Additionally, the roller brush height can be automatically adjusted according to the snow conditions on the road.

In terms of control, the operation of the snow removal roller is also integrated with the upper body control system for seamless management.

Electric Snow Removal Roller Interface on Integrated Screen

As with the guardrail cleaning device, the integrated screen interface for the snow removal roller requires confirmation of the desired operating intensity before startup. Once configured, the central roller motor can be activated. After activation, the device’s vertical and horizontal positions can be adjusted according to actual working conditions.

This device is powered by a 24V low-voltage DC power unit, which draws power directly from Yiwei’s pure electric chassis to control the positioning of the snow plow.

The function startup page of the electric snow removal roller is integrated with the main functions of the original vehicle. After activation, the device’s vertical and horizontal positions can also be adjusted according to actual working conditions.

For users with special requirements for extended operating range, we also offer an optional range extender package. Relevant system information can be directly displayed and managed through the integrated screen.

Range Extender System Information Interface

For users who have purchased multiple optional packages, configurations can be directly switched within the parameter settings interface of the integrated screen.

Parameter Settings for Optional Configurations Interface

All optional packages can currently be added to existing vehicle models. Additionally, these optional function packages are integrated and controlled through a unified system. Each vehicle is equipped with an integrated display at the central control position, enabling multiple functions in one unit — truly realizing the intelligence and integration of new energy sanitation vehicles.
