On January 13, 2026, Hu Zhili, Deputy Secretary of the Suizhou Municipal Committee and Mayor, led a delegation of officials from relevant municipal departments to visit Hubei Yiwei New Energy Automobiles Co., Ltd. for an inspection and guidance.
Accompanied by Cheng A Luo, Chairman of Chengli Group, and Wang Junyuan, General Manager of Hubei Yiwei Auto, Mayor Hu Zhili toured the production workshops, inspected the operation of automated production lines, and gained a detailed understanding of Yiwei’s production capacity and processes. In the technology exhibition area, she focused on the live demonstrations of autonomous sanitation vehicles and AI intelligent systems, and received reports on Yiwei’s innovations in AI research and applications. Mayor Hu fully commended Yiwei’s commitment to technological innovation and proactive development in the intelligent connected vehicle sector.
Mayor Hu Zhili praised Yiwei’s progress in the intelligence and connectivity of special vehicles, noting that it aligns closely with Suizhou’s strategy of becoming a “City of Specialty Vehicles” and promoting high-end, green industrial transformation. She emphasized that the new energy vehicle industry is a key direction for Suizhou’s industrial upgrading. Mayor Hu highlighted the government’s commitment to driving policy innovation, opening more testing and application scenarios for cutting-edge technologies such as autonomous driving and AI, and accelerating the commercialization of technological achievements. She encouraged enterprises to seize development opportunities, increase R&D investment, advance core technology breakthroughs, and continuously enhance product competitiveness and brand influence. The Suizhou Municipal Committee and Government will steadfastly support the growth of the new energy vehicle and related industries, continue optimizing the business environment, and strengthen resource support to safeguard enterprise innovation and development.
