Ⅰ.On-Site Evaluation of Technical Strength
The delegation toured the Yiwei New Energy Innovation Center to learn about YIWEI Auto’s core new energy commercial vehicle products, powertrain and control system R&D capabilities, and technology commercialization strengths, gaining a firsthand understanding of the company’s technical expertise and industry competitiveness.
During the visit, the TKP team closely examined Yiwei Auto’s in-house developed 31-ton pure electric chassis, gaining insights into its integrated design, performance advantages, and applications for heavy-duty new energy commercial vehicles.
The two sides also held in-depth discussions on Yiwei Auto’s powertrain and control systems, covering system architecture, key component performance, testing and validation capabilities, mass-production processes, vehicle integration, and critical technologies such as motor selection, control logic, thermal management, and safety protection.
Through the site visit and technical exchanges, the TKP team highly recognized Yiwei Auto’s comprehensive R&D and testing system, mature self-developed chassis technology, and reliable powertrain and control solutions. They also praised the company’s innovation capabilities, product implementation strength, and growth potential in the new energy commercial vehicle sector, laying a solid foundation of trust for future cooperation.
Ⅱ.In-Depth Talks on Multi-Field Cooperation
During the discussion session, both teams engaged in comprehensive business and technical exchanges under the principles of complementary strengths, mutual benefit, and collaborative development. They introduced their company profiles, core business portfolios, and technological advantages, further strengthening the foundation for future cooperation.
The discussions also focused on the implementation of the ongoing e-PTO application project, as well as interface integration and system compatibility solutions for electric trucks. Drawing on trends in the Korean electric truck market, both sides shared industry insights and explored emerging opportunities. Leveraging their respective technological and supply chain strengths, they also explored diversified, long-term cooperation opportunities in the new energy commercial vehicle sector, establishing a strong foundation for future strategic collaboration.
Ⅲ.Driving Mutual Empowerment for China–Korea Cooperation
The visit by the TKP Korea team marks an important step in Yiwei Auto’s efforts to advance technology internationalization and global market expansion. It also represents a key initiative in promoting collaboration across the China–Korea new energy commercial vehicle industry chain.
Moving forward, both parties will build on this exchange to further strengthen technical collaboration, project coordination, and resource sharing.
