On October 21, 2025, the “Tech Innovation in Tianfu · Smart Chengdu” China–Turkey Innovation & Technology Exchange was held at Istanbul Technology Park.
YIWEI New Energy Automobile, as a Chengdu manufacturer representative, joined over 100 Chinese and Turkish delegates to showcase Chengdu’s smart manufacturing and explore new opportunities in the Eurasian market.
Supported by the Government, Driven by Enterprises
The event was organized under the leadership of the Chengdu Science and Technology Bureau, bringing together top institutions and enterprise representatives from China and Turkey in the fields of new energy and smart manufacturing.
Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Akyol, General Manager of Istanbul Technology Park, expressed his anticipation for building a “mutually empowering” innovation ecosystem through in-depth collaboration with Chengdu.
Yavuz Aydın, Chairman of the Turkish Combined Heat and Power Association, also highlighted Turkey’s high expectations for Chengdu’s new energy enterprises—especially those with advanced technologies in energy storage and intelligent systems—as the country advances its energy transition.
Yiwei Auto Technology in Focus
At the conference, Yiwei Auto’s chief technology officer, Xia Fugen, presented the company’s core technologies and product advantages in new energy sanitation vehicles, logistics vehicles, and other specialized vehicles. He highlighted innovations in vehicle design, intelligent control systems, and overall technological development, capturing strong interest from Turkish trade enterprises, energy companies, and potential partners.
During the China–Turkey one-on-one business meetings, the Yiwei Auto team engaged in discussions on vehicle imports, technological collaboration, and localized production, successfully establishing several preliminary cooperation intentions with local companies.
On-site Visit to Strengthen Local Collaboration
After the meeting, the Yiwei Auto team made a dedicated visit to several specialized vehicle manufacturers in Istanbul, conducting on-site inspections of production workshops and gaining an in-depth understanding of the technical standards and customer demands in Turkey's specialized vehicle market. During discussions with leading local manufacturers, both sides engaged in pragmatic talks on potential cooperation, including the introduction of new energy chassis technology and customized vehicle development, laying a solid foundation for advancing the presence of “Chengdu Intelligent Manufacturing” in the Turkish market.
Going Global, Broadening Vision
This visit to Istanbul was not only an opportunity to showcase Yiwei Auto’s technology and products but also a significant step in the company’s global strategy for new energy vehicles. Leveraging the high-level exchange platform provided by the government, we established more direct connections with the Eurasian market and gained deeper insights into the market demands, policy environment, and technological trends in Turkey and its surrounding regions. Moving forward, Yiwei Auto will continue to pursue innovation-driven growth, actively respond to the “Chengdu Intelligent Manufacturing” initiative, and deepen cooperation with Belt and Road countries, including Turkey, bringing efficient, reliable, and green new energy specialized vehicles to the broader international stage.
