Recently, Chengdu Yiwei New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. announced the first delivery of its independently developed 18-ton new energy sanitation vehicle chassis to partners in Xinjiang. This milestone marks a significant breakthrough for Yiwei Auto in the field of new energy sanitation vehicles and represents a major step forward in its strategic expansion into the Northwest China market. It also stands as a key milestone in the company’s efforts to support China’s “dual carbon” goals and promote green infrastructure under the Belt and Road Initiative.
The delivered products are Yiwei Motors’ independently developed next-generation new energy dedicated chassis, featuring long range, strong adaptability, and intelligent control. To ensure product reliability, Yiwei Motors launched a series of rigorous field tests. In January 2024, a team of 20 engineers conducted extreme cold testing in Heihe, Heilongjiang, where average winter temperatures reach -30°C. The tests verified cold starts, key components, low-temperature charging, and driving range under frigid conditions.
In July 2024, a second team of 30 engineers embarked on high-temperature and high-altitude endurance testing. Starting from Suizhou, Hubei Province, the team traveled through the Qinling Mountains in Shaanxi and the Hexi Corridor in Gansu, covering over 10,000 kilometers round trip. During the tests, vehicles operated at full load daily, successfully verifying the reliability of range and thermal management systems under extreme environments.
