On January 6, 2024, the 28th anniversary annual meeting and the 5th World Youth Diplomatic Ambassador Contest award ceremony, organized by the Chengdu Translators Association, was held with great fanfare at Chengdu Foreign Languages School affiliated to Beijing International Studies University. The World Youth Diplomatic Ambassador Contest, abbreviated as IFEC, is a philanthropic project led by the Chengdu Translators Association and the Language House Translation Group, with the participation of government departments, foreign embassies and consulates, diplomatic organizations, and hundreds of domestic and overseas universities. Every year, it evaluates young people aged 12 to 25 comprehensively in areas such as diplomatic knowledge, academic abilities, language skills, public speaking skills, personal qualities, and global vision. The winners are then appointed as World Youth Diplomatic Ambassadors to represent their cities and promote and introduce China as young leaders to the world.
