Established in 2022, the Yiwei New Energy Innovation Center in Chengdu has completed nearly two years of operation, serving as a crucial component of Yiwei Automotive’s strategic deployment in the field of new energy.
Situated within the industrial park of Pidu District in Chengdu, the innovation center covers an area of approximately 5200 square meters. It integrates the Yiwei New Energy Special Vehicle Delivery Experience Center, the new energy powertrain manufacturing base, and the after-sales service center.
The innovation center is divided into two floors. The first floor houses the New Energy Special Vehicle Delivery Experience Center, showcasing various new energy special vehicles, new energy powertrain chassis, and various types of power unit installations. This setup allows customers to experience firsthand the features and advantages of Yiwei Automotive products, serving as a demonstration point for sales in Chengdu.
Located at the rear of the delivery experience area is the new energy after-sales service center, equipped with a big data monitoring platform, charging area, maintenance area, and more. It caters to local customers in Chengdu while coordinating with other after-sales service points nationwide to provide comprehensive after-sales service across the country.
The second floor serves as the new energy powertrain manufacturing base, featuring functional areas such as high and low-voltage harness production lines and water pump unit production lines. It is equipped with advanced production management equipment to ensure efficient and precise operation in every production process. The innovation center, situated close to the Chengdu headquarters’ research and development center, collaboratively undertakes the development and testing of Yiwei Automotive’s self-developed products, as well as customized design and innovative upgrades.
Currently, the Yiwei Automotive Chengdu Innovation Center and the New Energy Manufacturing Center in Suizhou, Hubei Province, jointly form a “2+N” model, leveraging the advantages of both locations to achieve synergistic development in R&D and manufacturing. They rely on these locations for domestic and international business expansion and market development, aiming to promote Yiwei Automotive’s high-quality products and services nationwide and globally.
