On the afternoon of May 10th, Yao Sidan, Vice Chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), led a delegation to visit and investigate YIWEI Automotive’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Hubei YIWEI New Energy Automotive Co., Ltd., accompanied by leaders including Kek, Mayor of Suizhou, and Jiang Hao, Secretary of the Zengdu District Committee. The General Manager of Hubei YIWEI, Xia Fugen, warmly welcomed and thanked the visiting leaders and provided a detailed introduction to YIWEI Automotive’s landing in Suizhou, production line expansionand transformation, the design and development of the second-generation new energy special chassis, prototype production and verification, and future product and market planning.
Firstly, the leaders visited the new energy chassis exhibition area of Hubei YIWEI, and gained a detailed understanding of YIWEI Automotive’s full range of new energy special vehicle chassis for micro, light, medium, and heavy trucks, focusing on the core technology of YIWEI Automotive in the development of new energy chassis.
Next, the leaders visited the two new energy chassis assembly production lines completed by YIWEI Automotive’s expansion and transformation, and gained a detailed understanding of each area, workstation, and process. The chassis assembly line was completed in just two months, and can achieve a combination of full automation production and flexible production, meeting the standard automation production of various new energy chassis and the flexible production of various customized chassis, with an annual production capacity of over 30,000 units.
Finally, the leaders visited the sample car assembly trial production line of the second-generation new energy special vehicle chassis independently developed by YIWEI Automotive, and gained a detailed understanding of the development design, prototype trial assembly, testing and verification, and market promotion of the second-generation sample car. YIWEI Automotive’s technology team will make full efforts to develop a full range of second-generation high-performance and cost-effective new energy special vehicle chassis this year. Currently, two-tonnage and five-configuration chassis have entered the prototype trial phase, and more tonnage-level products will be launched in the future.
After listening to the report by Xia Fugen, the General Manager of Hubei YIWEI, Vice Chairman Yao Sidan fully praised and affirmed YIWEI Automotive’s achievements and efforts, and expressed that as a high-tech enterprise in Sichuan Province , YIWEI Automotive has relentlessly expanded its business to the whole country, and now takes full advantage of Hubei Province’s automotive industry chain advantages, investing in and building factories in Suizhou, expanding its business and doing better. The Sichuan Provincial CPPCC has always paid attention to the development of YIWEI Automotive, and hopes that YIWEI Automotive will continue to innovate, strive, and become a leader in China’s new energy commercial vehicle industry.
Mayor Kek of Suizhou stated that Suizhou is the capital of China’s special-purpose vehicles, with abundant special-purpose vehicle modification resources and supporting industries, and is currently promoting the transformation and upgrading of the special-purpose vehicle industry. YIWEI Automotive is a new energy commercial vehicle enterprise that we have focused on introducing, and will promote the transformation of Suizhou’s special-purpose vehicle industry towards new energy. The city and district governments will continue to provide comprehensive support and guarantees for the development of the enterprise.
