High-temperature testing area: The high-temperature testing is conducted in Turpan City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Turpan City is located in the central part of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with an average annual temperature of 13.9°C, and more than 100 scorching days above 35°C. The extreme high temperature in summer reaches 49.6°C, and the surface temperature often exceeds 70°C, with a record of 82.3°C. The road conditions comply with the GB/T12534 “General Rules for Road Test Methods for Automobiles.”

01 Testing the cooling effect of the vehicle’s air conditioning in high-temperature environments
To test the cooling effect of Yiwei Automobile’s vehicle air conditioning, we selected Turpan as the testing site due to its extreme high temperatures. During the testing process, we recorded the cooling effect of the vehicle air conditioning in chronological order and monitored the interior temperature in real-time. The results showed that the vehicle’s air conditioning performed excellently in high-temperature environments. The cabin temperature dropped from 49°C to 23°C in 9 minutes, effectively reducing the interior temperature and providing a comfortable driving experience for the driver.

02 Validation of vehicle startup after high-temperature exposure
Before the test, we conducted a comprehensive inspection of the vehicle to ensure its normal operation in high-temperature environments. Then, we placed the vehicle in an environment with temperatures ≥40°C and subjected it to 5 hours of daily continuous exposure for one week. During this period, we recorded various data and the vehicle’s condition. Next, we performed startup tests on the vehicle’s motor and found that the motor could start quickly even in high temperatures, ensuring the reliability of the vehicle’s operation. The results showed that Yiwei Automobile’s battery system could effectively withstand the impact of high temperatures on battery performance and maintain stable operation.

03 Validation of conventional components after high-temperature exposure
Conventional components are prone to damage under high-temperature exposure, which affects the normal operation of the vehicle. Therefore, we decided to conduct validation tests on the vehicle’s conventional components in real environments to evaluate their reliability under high-temperature conditions. The tests included inspection of the interior and exterior trim, various functions of the cabin, battery performance, motor cooling, and control system stability. The test results showed that Yiwei Automobile performed well under high-temperature exposure, and no significant failures or damages were observed in the conventional components.

04 Validation of high-temperature range in terms of driving range
We conducted on-site validation of Yiwei Automobile’s driving range in high-temperature conditions in Turpan. During the validation process, we performed rigorous experimental design and data collection. Advanced monitoring equipment was used to monitor and record key parameters such as battery performance, energy consumption, and temperature of the sanitation vehicle in real-time. Additionally, we comprehensively evaluated the driving range performance under different ambient temperatures based on the actual operating conditions in Turpan. The test involved driving on Turpan National Highway at a constant speed of 60 km/h: the displayed range on the instrument panel (SOC 80% – 20%) matched the actual driving range.

05 Validation of high-temperature fast charging
High temperatures significantly affect battery performance and lifespan. Therefore, before validating the high-temperature fast charging technology for electric vehicles, we performed a series of experiments and tests on the battery. By accurately monitoring the temperature and voltage changes of the battery, we successfully identified the optimal parameters for high-temperature fast charging and validated them through practical applications. During the validation process, we placed the vehicle in Turpan’s extreme high-temperature environment and utilized local fast charging equipment to charge the battery. By monitoring the core temperature and charging rate in real-time, we ensured that no abnormal jump gun occurrences, normal current fluctuations, and proper functioning of the thermal management system were present after charging.

06 Validation of high-temperature reliability in driving

To ensure the accuracy of the tests, we conducted on-site testing in Tuyugou, Turpan City. The tested vehicle was a professionally modified pure electric sanitation vehicle, which had high temperature resistance and reliability. By installing sensors, recorders, and other equipment, we monitored various data of the vehicle and recorded any abnormal conditions during the driving process. At the beginning of the test, we monitored the battery temperature of the vehicle. Through real-time recording, we found that the battery temperature increased relatively quickly in high-temperature environments. However, the vehicle’s design and integrated thermal managementsystems effectively controlled the temperature rise within a safe range, ensuring the stable operation of the vehicle. The vehicle successfully completed various driving tasks, including urban roads, highways, and uphill sections, demonstrating its high-temperature reliability.
